2021 Grady-White Freedom 285

The 2021 Grady-White Freedom 285 is a 28-foot dual console powered by twin Yamaha engines totaling 600 horsepower. Built on Grady-White's SeaV² hull with a 9.75-foot beam, the boat combines open-water capability with comfort-focused design. The fiberglass construction includes a composite stringer system and water-impervious transom, paired with a self-bailing cockpit and automatic bilge pumps for reliability in varied sea conditions.

The layout centers on dual helm and companion seating with electromechanical adjustment and extendable aft lounge sections. A full hardtop with LED spreader lights and curtains covers much of the cockpit. The boat includes port and starboard bow cushioned seating, a forward-facing aft bench seat, and a lockable head with electric flush toilet, holding tank, and macerator. Extensive stainless steel hardware throughout includes flush-mount cleats, grab rails, and 17 drink holders.

Fishing and water-sports equipment is comprehensive: a 118-quart insulated fish box forward with overboard drain, a 185-quart aft box with light, a 32-gallon livewell with high-flow circulation, rod holders and storage racks, and a swim platform with integrated ladder. Helm systems include digital electric steering, an anchor windlass with remote controls, and a full suite of through-hull fittings. Cockpit amenities include a freshwater shower, battery charger, dockside power connection, and accessory outlets.

The engines carry approximately 110 hours of run time. The boat comes without a trailer, though trailer options are available.
