2021 KingFisher 2825 Coastal Express

This 2021 KingFisher 2825 Coastal Express is built for serious coastal work and fishing. The aluminum hull features KingFisher's Pre-Flex® design for fast planing and smooth performance in rough conditions, reinforced with high sides for offshore confidence. The factory deck has been replaced with quarter-inch marine aluminum, creating a rugged, low-maintenance work platform. The oversized rear deck provides ample space for fishing and deck operations, with in-floor and transom fish lockers built in. Stainless steel fasteners throughout the boat resist corrosion, and the hull bottom has been professionally coated with barnacle-resistant paint.

Power comes from three Mercury outboards: twin 150hp units with approximately 90 hours of service and a 25hp kicker with extended bottom bracket for improved trim control. Engine controls are positioned aft in the cockpit. Electronics include dual Lowrance HDS-9 Live systems at bow and helm, each with integrated radar, GPS, and chartplotter capability. A FLIR thermal imaging system displays video on a cabin monitor, and a mini computer with keyboard handles navigation and system management. CB radio and exterior marine radio speaker support deck communication.

The cabin includes a marine head and heating system for extended trips. Electrical systems feature a second house battery in the bow with dedicated charging infrastructure and three battery charger/maintainers. Deck equipment includes an electric pot hauler assembly, dual stainless steel gurdies, hand-crank cable winch, and a gas-powered, electric-start hydraulic pump to operate working systems. The custom-built mast, outriggers, and all mounts are marine-grade aluminum fabrication. Lighting includes mast, deck, and bow lights for night operations. A four-man life raft is aboard for offshore work. The boat comes with a double-axle galvanized EZ Loader trailer.
