2021 MJM 53z

The 53z is an MJM downeast designed by Doug Zurn and built by Boston Boatworks. At 53 feet with a 15-foot beam, the composite-hulled yacht is powered by four Mercury outboards producing 1,600 hp, capable of a maximum speed of 43 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots. The single-level design connects the pilothouse to expansive aft deck entertainment spaces, creating an open flow for socializing and relaxation.

Accommodations include two cabins and two heads arranged for four guests. The interior combines functional engineering with thoughtful finishes throughout. The forward and midship areas are designed around the pilothouse, while the aft deck serves as the primary social hub.

Recent updates include replacement Mercury outboards with extended warranties, new Garmin navigation electronics, aft deck teak sole, updated deck non-skid, and new canvas and fabrics throughout the interior. These additions reflect careful maintenance and systematic improvement of the yacht's systems and appearance.
