The 2021 Nautitech 40 Open is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and offshore passage-making. At nearly 40 feet in length with a 22-foot beam, the design delivers the stable platform and spacious living quarters characteristic of the type. Twin Volvo Penta D1-30F diesel engines provide propulsion and maneuverability, supported by retractable three-bladed propellers and saildrive 130 SR-D units.
The boat accommodates three double cabins and two heads. Onboard systems reflect an emphasis on self-sufficiency and comfort: 1200 watts of solar panels paired with 600 amp-hour lithium batteries, an Aquabase FIJI Comfort water maker producing 65 liters per hour, and a full B&G electronics suite including radar, autopilot, AIS, and Starlink connectivity. Safety equipment includes a six-person liferaft, EPIRB, AIS MOB beacons, and survival suits.
The sails—a 63 square-meter mainsail, 28 square-meter self-tacking jib, 103 square-meter Code D, and 55 square-meter Code 0—were recently serviced. The twin engines show 1000 hours and were last serviced in December 2025. A Highfield CL310 tender with 15-horsepower Honda outboard is included. Galley appliances include refrigeration and a washing machine. Bimini and weather covers provide solar protection, and the layout offers practical living spaces suited to both cruising and extended time at anchor.
