The 2021 Ranger Tug R-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass trawler powered by dual 300-horsepower Yamaha outboards, designed for efficient cruising and easy handling. The hull measures 8.5 feet across the beam, offering a stable platform suitable for coastal exploration, island hopping, or extended cruising. A bow thruster aids maneuvering in tight quarters, and the boat features a Sharrow propeller with the original propeller included onboard.
The cabin layout centers on a spacious, light-filled salon with panoramic windows and includes a forward stateroom with island berth, convertible dinette, fully equipped galley with refrigerator and stove, and an enclosed head with separate shower. A large aft cockpit with seating and swim platform access opens to full enclosure, providing weather protection. The deck design includes side rails and easy passage forward.
The electronics package comprises Garmin chartplotter, radar, and autopilot. Power systems include a 310-amp lithium house battery with DC charger, a 330-watt solar panel array for extended anchoring, and shore power connection. A roof rack system accommodates kayaks and paddleboards, and a custom Weaver hinged davit is installed for tender or dinghy deployment.
A triple-axle EasyLoader trailer rated for 13,000 pounds is available separately. The boat is currently out of the water in Anacortes, Washington.
