The 2021 Scout 251 XSS is a 24-foot bay boat built with a composite hull and powered by a single 300 hp Mercury engine. Designed as a hybrid for both inshore and offshore conditions, the boat features a shallow draft of approximately 13 inches for backwater access, while its hull design, depth, and freeboard are engineered to handle offshore seas and keep the deck dry.
The boat comes equipped with a large anchor locker, port and starboard lockable rod storage boxes, a high-performance leaning post with rod holders, transom ladder, and trim tabs. The forward seating arrangement provides good sight lines for running the boat. Optional equipment includes rear deck jump seat cushions, a port aerated bait well, and a porta potti.
A standout feature is Scout's patented T-top and glass enclosure system, which received a U.S. Design Patent. The combination of fishing-focused storage and integrated weather protection reflects the boat's emphasis on both functionality and comfort for extended time on the water.
