2021 World Cat 280 DC-X

The 2021 World Cat 280 DC-X is a 28-foot center console powered by twin Yamaha 200 hp outboard engines. The boat runs at a cruising speed of 26 knots with a top speed approaching 40 knots, delivering fuel-efficient 4-stroke performance backed by professional engine service in 2023 and 475 hours of operation on each motor.

The console layout balances fishing capability with family comfort. The helm sits in an ergonomic fiberglass console with a matte vinyl top and frameless windshield that hinges open to the bow. Deluxe bow seating accommodates six, while the cockpit features a double-wide seat that converts front-to-rear with a foot pedal, plus aft transom seating for two. The boat includes a full head with Corian countertop, fresh water system, 9-gallon holding tank, and overboard discharge. Storage spans an insulated 180-quart port compartment, a large starboard locker, and dedicated anchor storage with a 300-foot line, 15-foot chain, and 22-pound anchor managed by an integrated windlass system. Additional features include a 20-gallon insulated livewell, six rod holders across the bow and gunwales, swim platform with boarding ladder, and walkthrough transom with latched door.

Navigation and entertainment systems include a Garmin 12-inch display, Garmin GMR 18xHD radar dome, Yamaha CL7 touchscreen engine control, Optimus electronic steering with joystick, and a Fusion Marine stereo with Bluetooth and four JL Audio speakers powered by an 800-watt amplifier.
