2022 Ascend 128X Yak-Power Sit-On - Desert Storm

The Ascend 128X Yak-Power is a 12.67-foot sit-on kayak built with a one-piece rotomolded catamaran hull designed for stability and tracking. It comes equipped with the Yak-Power system—a built-in electrical setup that includes a wiring harness, master controller, and three power plugs to run electronics like fishfinders, GPS, and lighting. The hull features a molded landing pad for mounting accessories, and the stern is ready for optional motor and Power-Pole micro anchor installations.

The seating and storage setup combines comfort with functionality. The boat has an adjustable high-back seat with underseat storage, non-skid cushioned flooring for secure footing, and adjustable foot braces that fit various heights. Two molded drink holders keep beverages within reach. Storage includes a recessed bow area, a midship hatch measuring 10.91 by 14.84 inches, and molded-in tackle and rod staging areas on each side.

Customization and drainage are central to the design. Four 16-inch accessory rails line the gunwale flats for mounting gear, while a molded rod landing and two flush-mounted rod holders with eyelet attachment points support fishing setups. Eight scupper drains with plugs manage water drainage, and hidden hatch fasteners seal the storage areas. Three carrying handles—a performance grip bow handle and two molded stern handles—plus black powder-coated interior side handles make transport straightforward. The open cockpit layout provides flexibility for arranging fishing and cargo gear.
