This 38-foot Covey Island is built on a Spencer Lincoln hull design—a proven Downeast form refined through decades of fishing work before conversion to pleasure use. The boat retains the classic lines and seaworthiness characteristic of Nova Scotia lobster boat tradition, powered by a single 130-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine.
The boat underwent a complete refit from bare hull, including new structural work, drive, fuel and water tanks, plumbing, electrical systems, and new decks and cockpit. A new deckhouse was built and interior systems installed throughout. The layout is straightforward and practical, with modest joinery that can be upgraded to suit future owners' preferences.
Cold-molded construction gives this hull the durability that sustained years of commercial fishing. The refit brings all systems and structures current, with the boat ready for cruising use.
