The 2022 Dufour 470 is a 48-foot cruising sailboat built on an infused fiberglass hull with fluid lines and balanced proportions. Powered by a 60-horsepower diesel engine with a retractable four-blade propeller, the boat combines stability and performance with thoughtful deck ergonomics. The rig includes a dacron mainsail with full batten, self-tacking jib, and complete winch package: an electric T50 roof winch, two T50 primaries on the cabin, and two T50 secondary winches rigged for German system. Additional sail options include a Code 0 on furler and asymmetric spinnaker gear.
The cockpit is spacious and well-appointed, featuring teak sole, natural wood seating, large table with storage, sunbathing area, cushioned backrests, bimini top, hot and cold deck shower, electric swim platform with remote, and electric anchor windlass with chain counter. Deck circulation from the companionway to the bow pulpit is unobstructed and secure. Navigation electronics include a Raymarine Axiom 12+ display, speed and depth instrumentation, wind and apparent wind indicators, VHF with AIS capability, autopilot with dual displays, and LED navigation lights.
The interior holds three cabins and two heads, each with its own holding tank. The forward owner's cabin is spacious; aft cabins have opening ports to the cockpit. The saloon is bright with roll-down sunscreens and mosquito netting. The galley sits forward with a three-burner stove and oven, microwave, 55-liter refrigerator and freezer, and wooden wine storage. A cockpit galley package adds a gas plancha, sink, and table-top fridge. Interior finishes include Boston styling with Millennium trim; Boston glazing and cabin roof windows enhance light throughout.
Extended-range cruising is supported by a 120-liter-per-hour Aquabase watermaker, 580-watt solar panels on the bimini, 3000-watt inverter, 90-amp charger, 40-liter hot water tank, electric seawater pump, automatic shower pumps, 220-volt outlets in cabins and saloon, and 220-volt air conditioning in the main cabin. The boat carries a full safety kit and anchoring equipment; a bow thruster and furling mainsail system add maneuverability and ease of handling.
