2022 Fountaine Pajot Isla 40

The 2022 Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built for cruising and extended time at sea. At 40 feet with a 21.75-foot beam, the design provides substantial interior volume and a layout that flows between cabin and cockpit spaces. Twin 60-horsepower Volvo engines drive the twin hulls, backed by a 7.5-kilowatt generator and 495 watts of solar panels for off-grid capability.

The interior comprises three cabins and three heads, with an open-plan saloon, fully equipped galley with refrigeration and three-burner cooktop, and abundant natural light throughout. On deck, the cockpit features a helm station with bimini, foredeck sun lounge, and ample seating. Outdoor cushions are included, and the saloon layout is designed for comfortable entertaining and cruising.

Systems reflect offshore specification: twin Volvo D1 engines, 7.5-kilowatt generator with 110V/60Hz output, air conditioning, 2000-watt inverter/charger, water heater with hot cockpit shower, and enhanced battery capacity. Navigation electronics include a Garmin suite with autopilot, GPS chartplotter with included chart chip, AIS, and dual VHF installations. A 1000-watt electric windlass pairs with an upgraded anchor package and mooring kit.

Safety and cruising gear are comprehensive: an ISO 9650 eight-person life raft, carbon monoxide detectors, USCG-compliant equipment, flares, PFDs, and fire extinguishers. The boat carries an electric davit winch with full dinghy handling setup and includes offshore-ready configuration throughout. All systems are factory-installed and have been regularly exercised and maintained.
