2022 Freeman 42LR

The 2022 Freeman 42LR is a center console built for serious offshore fishing. Powered by quad Mercury Verado 400 engines producing 1,600 horsepower total, it reaches 65 knots top speed and cruises at 50 knots. The fiberglass hull spans 42 feet in length with an 11.75-foot beam and carries 800 gallons of fuel capacity. A custom aluminum triple-axle trailer is included.

The cockpit is generously sized with dual helm stations—a lower helm with hard windshield and a raised upper helm with bimini top that lowers for transport. The upper helm features a 12-inch Garmin display, while four additional Garmin chartplotters, a Garmin 72-nautical-mile open array radar, and a FLIR night vision system provide comprehensive navigation and situational awareness. Electronic engine controls, an Optimus joystick docking system, and dual Icom VHF radios are installed at both stations. The helm seats accommodate six with bolsters and armrests, and a forward coffin sunlounge with storage below completes the seating arrangement.

Fishing capability is comprehensive: four livewells (two large in-floor, two medium in transom), four fish boxes, twin ice boxes with cold plates, a sea chest supplying all livewells, and extensive rod storage including 11 rocket launchers at the transom, 4 on the upper helm, 10 on the hardtop, 16 on the coffin sides, and 16 gunwale rod holders. Fresh water and salt water washdowns, twin Rhodan 120-pound-thrust trolling motors with 36-volt lithium batteries, a dive door with stainless diver ladder, and a head compartment with dual-side entry complete the setup.

Additional equipment includes eight underwater LED lights, SeaDek flooring on the upper helm, a custom raised hardtop with extra headroom, a full custom camper enclosure, Marsh Tacky carbon fiber outriggers, a Rebel FreeFall anchor winch, and a Fusion stereo system with six JL Audio amplifiers, 12 speakers, and six subwoofers. Recent engine service and detailing have been completed.
