2022 Hinckley Picnic Boat 34 S

The 2022 Hinckley Picnic Boat 34 S is a composite-hulled downeast cruiser built with carbon Kevlar and Corecell foam core, finished in Flag Blue Awlgrip with cream accents and black bottom paint. Twin Yammer 8LV diesel engines delivering 370 horsepower each power Hamilton 274 jet drives, achieving a cruising speed of 34 knots and a maximum speed of 38 knots. The boat runs on 88 engine hours and includes a 5-kilowatt Kohler diesel generator with 78 hours. Joystick control via JetStick 3 with Heading Hold and G-Lock technology provides intuitive maneuvering, supported by dual hydraulic PTO pumps and a proportional bow thruster for redundancy and precision handling.

The pilothouse features four oversized frameless windows with manual sliding side panels and powered self-dogging overhead hatches. The helm station includes a Garmin multifunction display with radar and autopilot, Standard Horizon VHF radio, and full engine monitoring. Teak accents throughout the pilothouse and cockpit—including varnished handrails, eyebrow molding, and a drop-leaf table—are complemented by cushioned settees on both sides and abundant storage. Three-zone air conditioning with reverse-cycle heat keeps the interior and pilothouse comfortable.

Below deck, a single cabin features a V-berth with Sunbrella upholstery that converts to a double, storage lockers with cherry drop-front doors, and an opening hatch with screen. A private head to starboard includes a Corian countertop, handheld shower, and VacuFlush electric head plumbed to a 28-gallon holding tank. The galley to port offers a Vitrifrigo refrigerator, single-burner glass cooktop, GE microwave, and ample storage. Interior finishes include satin-varnished cherry and varnished teak-and-tulipwood cabin sole.

The boat carries Garmin electronics with digital GPS and differential antennae, dual electric trim tabs, fresh water washers and intermittent wipers, an ACR remote spotlight, and a Fusion stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity. Ground tackle includes a polished stainless anchor, 25 feet of stainless chain, 150 feet of rode, and a 12-volt windlass with helm and remote controls. The electrical system features two new 2024 Lifeline AGM start batteries and two house batteries, dual 150-amp alternators, and a 30-amp Victron charger for 120-volt systems.
