2022 Hobie Mirage Tandem Island

The 2022 Hobie Mirage Tandem Island is an 18.5-foot pedal-powered catamaran built for two. Dual MirageDrive 180s deliver forward and reverse propulsion through foot pedals, allowing independent maneuvering even in light wind or calm conditions. The patented Kick-Up Fins automatically retract when they contact underwater obstacles and reset once clear, protecting the hull in shallow or debris-filled waters.

The central hull is fitted with multiple Twist and Seal hatches and a large bow hatch providing below-decks storage. The rudder and centerboard deploy via lever controls, with dual rudder management for responsive handling. The design enables trolling at speeds suitable for marlin teasing and other serious fishing applications.
