2022 Lagoon 42

This 2022 Lagoon 42 catamaran is built for extended offshore cruising and comfortable long-term living aboard. The fiberglass hull spans 42 feet with a 25-foot beam, providing the spacious platform that defines this owner-version design. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 114 hp each deliver reliable propulsion, while the boat carries a full suite of sails including reinforced square-top mainsail, Code D, jib, and Parasailor for strong sailing performance.

The three-cabin layout prioritizes owner privacy with a full hull dedicated to the owner's quarters. An additional three heads serve the accommodations, and the saloon can convert into extra sleeping space when needed. The design emphasizes autonomy for remote cruising, with 1200 watts of solar panels, a generator, watermaker, and Starlink connectivity built into the electrical architecture.

Following a lightning strike in June 2023, the boat underwent comprehensive refitting in the Caribbean after professional survey. The work included replacement of the mast, rigging, both main engines, generator, batteries, watermaker mainboard, and electronics systems. The boat is fitted with dual independent hydraulic autopilot systems—one B&G and one Raymarine, each on separate rudders—allowing seamless switching between systems. Engine and generator hours remain low from their 2023 replacement.
