2022 Lagoon 42

The 2022 Lagoon 42 is a modern catamaran built on the design principles that define the Lagoon brand. At 42 feet with a 25-foot beam, this fiberglass hull is powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines of 90 horsepower each.

The layout prioritizes ease of movement and access. A single-level transition from the aft platform into the salon eliminates traditional steps, while large windows flood the interior with natural light. The transom features wide, continuous stairs that create an inviting platform comparable to larger catamarans. The helm station sits on the portside with direct sightlines to the salon and unobstructed forward and aft circulation. A composite bimini with a sliding panel overhead protects the helming position while maintaining visibility of the sails, and a closure panel secures the station during passage.

The boat accommodates four cabins and four heads, with the sail plan featuring a self-tacking jib and mast positioned further aft than earlier designs. This arrangement concentrates sailing operations in one location and simplifies handling under sail. Access to the coachroof and boom is straightforward from the helm, supported by the bimini design. The overall configuration reflects a systematic approach to onboard comfort and operational efficiency.
