2022 Lagoon 42

The 2022 Lagoon 42 is a modern catamaran with a distinctive design that balances performance with comfortable cruising. Built by VPLP, the hull combines flowing lines with a purposeful bow profile, while the redesigned coachroof and wide transom platform create an inviting outdoor space. Powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines of 114 hp each, the boat handles efficiently under power, and its self-tacking jib and aft-positioned mast make sail handling straightforward and centered in the cockpit.

The layout prioritizes space and usability across both decks. The cockpit flows seamlessly to the saloon via a single-level design, with an expansive glazed door spanning the coachroof width. The helming station sits at the coachroof bulkhead, offering good sightlines and direct communication between inside and outside. A large bimini provides weather protection, and the deck layout keeps all sail operations within easy reach.

Below, the four double cabins offer genuine living comfort. The aft cabins feature island beds and private heads with separate showers, while forward cabins include side-access berths. Large cabin windows and vertical glazing in the coachroof flood the interior with natural light. The U-shaped galley is fully equipped with ample counter and storage space, oriented to open toward the cockpit for easy service and entertaining.
