The 2022 Leopard 45 is a fiberglass catamaran designed by Simonis Voogd and built by Robertson & Caine. This model combines the hull's award-winning platform with a comprehensive suite of upgrades throughout. Twin Yanmar 4JH45 diesel engines deliver 90 horsepower each, with folding propellers and a fuel transfer system. The catamaran reaches a maximum speed of 9.5 knots and cruises at 7.5 knots. A full sail inventory includes a Ullman Dacron mainsail, Genoa on Profurl furler, carbon Code 0, asymmetrical spinnaker, and Oxley sail, all supported by Lewmar electric winches and a retractable bowsprit.
The layout centers on three cabins and three heads across the twin hulls. The saloon features a convertible table that transforms into a coffee table or double bunk, with a 32-inch Samsung smart television. Each cabin includes carpeting and full-length mirrors. The galley is outfitted with an ENO three-burner LPG oven, electric induction burner, Smeg coffee maker, and appliances including a Miele washer-dryer and multiple refrigeration units. Two 16,000 BTU air conditioning units provide climate control throughout.
Navigation and electronics run a complete Raymarine system with dual AXIOM12 multifunction displays, P70 autopilot, RD424HD color radar, dual VHF radios, AIS transceiver, and forward and docking cameras. Communication systems include Starlink on a permanent bracket and IridiumGO satellite connectivity. Power comes from a 1650Ah Victron lithium battery bank charged by 2400 watts of solar panels and dual 3KVA inverter-chargers. A Phaser 9.5 KVA generator (1,812 hours) provides backup power.
The catamaran includes a fully enclosed cockpit with Strataglass and sunshade, aft cockpit enclosure, and a coachroof lounge with integrated awning and ambient lighting. An 88-pound Rocna anchor with 394 feet of chain connects to an electric Lewmar windlass with helm display. Recent maintenance includes genoa and main halyard replacement, window re-bedding, saildrive service, bottom paint, and exterior detailing completed in 2024 and 2025. A 2022 Highfield CL360 tender with 25-horsepower Yamaha outboard is included.
