2022 Leopard 53 Powercat

The 2022 Leopard 53 Powercat is a spacious fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and entertainment. Powered by twin 740-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines, she reaches speeds of 24 knots and cruises efficiently at 17 knots. The 53-foot hull spans 25 feet across the beam, creating the stability and interior volume that defines the Leopard powercat platform. Joystick control system enhances maneuverability at the helm.

The layout centers on a three-cabin owner's configuration with an island berth, walk-in closet, and double vanity in the owner's suite. A sealed engine room keeps mechanical systems isolated from living spaces, substantially reducing noise and vibration throughout the accommodation. Generous cockpit, salon, and flybridge areas provide multiple spaces for relaxing and entertaining while underway or at anchor.

Electrical systems are comprehensive: six 300-amp-hour lithium batteries supply power to a 5000-watt Victron inverter-charger, with four 380-watt solar panels and dual MPPT controllers managing generation. A 12-volt watermaker produces 16.6 gallons per hour. Navigation electronics include Quantum II radar, Raymarine AIS and GPS, and Dockmate yacht control. Starlink RV satellite internet and onboard WiFi gateway provide connectivity. Safety gear includes vessel-mounted and four personal EPIRBs.

Additional equipment includes a Highfield 360 RIB tender with 25-horsepower Yamaha outboard, BLU3 snorkel system, dive gear, and fishing rod. Exterior covers and shades outfit the flybridge and cockpit. An upgraded anchor system features 200 feet of stainless steel chain. Tools and spare parts for engines and generator are aboard, along with a high-pressure washdown system and inflatable fenders.
