The 2022 Leopard 53 Powercat is a fourth-generation catamaran built by Robertson and Caine, combining the stability and efficiency of a twin-hull design with motor-yacht comfort. Twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 700 horsepower deliver a cruising speed of 17.5 knots and a maximum speed of 24 knots, while the catamaran hull form achieves approximately 50% better fuel efficiency compared to comparable monohull motoryachts.
The interior layout centers on four cabins and four heads arranged across the 53-foot length and 25-foot beam. The owner's suite occupies the starboard aft cabin, while three guest cabins provide additional accommodation. The saloon features large panoramic windows, an L-shaped lounge to port, and a settee to starboard with an optional interior navigation station. Forward access to the deck is provided through the saloon. The galley includes a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, four-burner stove, microwave, generous counter space with Staron worktops, and substantial storage throughout.
The flybridge helm station offers excellent sightlines and is surrounded by spacious seating and a dining table suited to entertaining. The overall design employs cool tones and modern finishes throughout, creating a contemporary atmosphere suited to extended cruising or coastal living. The boat is built from fiberglass and powered by diesel engines.
