2022 Malibu M220

The 2022 Malibu M220 is a 22-foot fiberglass ski and wake boat built around Malibu's M-Series design philosophy. Powered by a 430-horsepower Monsoon engine, it delivers the performance and handling characteristic of the brand's larger models in a more compact footprint. The hull is engineered specifically for wakeboarding and wakesurfing, with Malibu's M-Line hull design producing clean, consistent wakes and shaped surf waves. Ballast capacity reaches 5,160 pounds, and the boat features Surf Gate and Power Wedge III systems that allow drivers to adjust wave characteristics electronically.

The interior reflects M-Series luxury standards despite the modest overall length. Seating accommodates up to 15 passengers with diamond-stitched upholstery and wraparound configurations. The layout includes rear-facing lounges and extensive storage designed for boards and gear. A Wet Sounds audio system and customizable lighting round out the onboard amenities.

Control and monitoring happen through Malibu's Command Center, which pairs dual touchscreen displays for managing ballast, wave shaping, camera feeds, audio, and lighting. The high freeboard typical of M-Series boats creates more interior volume and allows additional ballast capacity compared to conventional designs. An optional powered swim step and folding tower are available additions.
