This 2022 Midnight Express 43 Open is powered by quad Mercury Racing 450R outboards producing 1,800 total horsepower. The fiberglass hull features anti-fouling bottom paint, with the entire exterior—including the painted motors, deck, hullside, and hardtop—finished to match. An extended hardtop with rod holder rack and foam flooring overhead provides weather protection and storage options.
The open layout centers on a helm station with electric seat adjustment, a 6-inch Starboard step, five tackle storage trays, and two sliding insulated coolers. Forward is a stylized fiberglass U-seat with an electric fiberglass table that converts to a sunpad and drops flush to the floor. Aft, a U-lounge seat with storage and fiberglass base completes the seating arrangement. Foam flooring runs throughout the cockpit, console, and transom well, while upgraded upholstery with headrests and cross-stitch detailing is fitted throughout.
Equipment includes dual insulated livewells behind the rear seat, an 80-kilogram bow thruster and stern thruster with dash-mounted controls, a quick anchor windlass system with 300 feet of line and 33-pound polished stainless steel anchor, and a Seakeeper 3 stabilization system. Three Garmin 8622 chartplotters are flush-mounted with autopilot and a GSD24 depthsounder; navigation integration runs through a Mercury-Garmin Gateway.
Audio and lighting are comprehensive: a JL premium sound system with fourteen 8.8-inch speakers, six 12-inch subwoofers, amplifiers, and a Fusion Apollo 770 head unit sits alongside a pair of Bazooka speakers on the hardtop. Three color-change LED underwater lights are mounted in the transom, with an LED spotlight on the hardtop controlled remotely from the dash. The Mercury Racing engines carry an extended warranty through April 2028.
