The Nitro Z17 is a 17-foot fiberglass bay boat built for fishing and trailering. Powered by a single 115-horsepower Mercury engine, it combines practical design with tournament-grade features at an accessible size for new owners and amateur competitors.
The deck layout prioritizes angler functionality. A lockable center rod organizer accommodates rods up to 7 feet 6 inches, while carpeted storage boxes on the port and starboard sides secure tackle and rods up to 7 feet. The 23-gallon aerated livewell divides and times its flow to maintain fish health through competition weigh-ins. Additional storage includes an insulated cooler and dedicated tackle compartments, paired with custom seating throughout.
The hull design carries over Nitro's NVT technology from larger Z Series models, engineered for responsive handling and shallow-water performance. At 17 feet 4 inches long with a 7-foot 6-inch beam, the boat is compact enough to tow easily yet wide enough for stable platforms during fishing operations.
