2022 Ranger RT178

The 2022 Ranger RT178 is a 17-foot 8-inch aluminum runabout powered by a single 90-horsepower Mercury engine. Built using the same construction methods as Ranger's larger models, it combines practical fishing features with a compact footprint suitable for garage storage and trailering.

The boat is organized around fishing functionality. An 8-foot port rod locker, recessed trolling motor foot pedal, and three dedicated tackle storage compartments support active anglers. An oversized center storage box provides additional stowage. The deck and cockpit are designed with extra beam width to maximize stability across the boat's length. Interior surfaces use rugged all-weather marine-grade carpet and premium vinyl upholstery.

The hull itself is constructed from 0.100-inch aluminum and filled with Ranger's signature sound-deadening foam flotation throughout, contributing to a solid feel across speed ranges and water conditions. The console is fully equipped for electronics up to 12 inches, includes gauges, and uses a cantilevered design to optimize comfort and usable cabin space.
