2022 Ranger Tugs R-27

The 2022 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass trawler powered by a single 300 hp Yamaha outboard engine, backed by a 9.9 hp Yamaha kicker for auxiliary power and efficiency. The hull wears a striking red gelcoat with cream boot stripe, while the deck and cabin are finished in white with molded nonskid. This build emphasizes serious cruising capability: hydraulic steering, a Lewmar 1.5kw bow thruster, Lenco trim tabs, and a Pro-Series 1000 anchor windlass with foot control keep the boat responsive and manageable. An electric flush toilet, washdown pump, and electric bilge pump are standard.

The cabin interior is thoroughly appointed for extended time aboard. Hot and cold pressure water feeds a single-lever galley faucet; an Isotemp water heater supports 40 gallons of capacity. The galley houses a Force 10 propane stove with oven, microwave, and a 12 VDC front-loading refrigerator, with two propane tanks and solenoid control. Climate control combines a cabin heater and air conditioning powered by lithium battery banks. Navigation and communication are handled by a Garmin 8612RXSV multifunction chartplotter with GMR18xHD radar, Reactor 40 autopilot with GHC 20 controller, Standard Horizon VHF radio, and a Fusion stereo system with multiple speakers throughout.

The electrical architecture runs dual 12 VDC and 120 VAC systems with six 100 amp lithium house batteries plus an AGM start battery, charged by a 160-watt solar panel, battery charger, and DC-DC lithium charger. A 30 amp shore power inlet with 50-foot cord connects to a full distribution panel. Externally, the cockpit features fold-down seating to port and starboard, a bimini and canvas sun shade, a hot and cold transom shower, a hinged transom door with swim ladder, rod and cup holders, a pop-up ski pylon, and a BBQ at the stern. Deck hardware includes eight stainless mooring cleats, a stainless mast, 16.5 lb Lewmar anchor with chain and roller, and a complete complement of safety gear. The boat comes equipped with a triple-axle aluminum trailer featuring electric and hydraulic brakes.
