The 2022 Ranger Z185 is an 18-foot 8-inch bay boat built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single 150-horsepower Mercury engine. The hull features a 96-inch beam that maximizes stability and storage capacity while maintaining agility in varied water conditions. The Rite-Track Keel design and hydraulic steering system provide responsive handling across a range of speeds.
The boat is outfitted with tournament-grade fishing equipment, including a timed, divided, and aerated livewell, dual rod boxes with gas-spring assists and deep drain channels, and a recessed trolling motor pedal. Electronics include three Lowrance HDS7 Live units and one Lowrance Elite FS9 forward-facing sonar. A Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor rated at 80 pounds of thrust on 24 volts is paired with two Minn Kota Talon anchors, each 10 feet long.
Recent updates include three new batteries, new tires, and an onboard Dual Pro PS3 automatic charger capable of charging lithium, AGM, or standard battery types. A heavy-duty cover is included with the boat.
