The 2022 Sunreef 80 Sail is a modern catamaran built to MCA Category 2 and RINA/CE Class A offshore standards. At 78 feet with a 38-foot beam, the fiberglass hull features a solid E-glass sandwich construction with PVC foam core. Power comes from a single John Deere diesel engine rated at 280 hp, paired with a 4-blade folding propeller for efficient cruising at 8–12 knots.
The accommodation layout spans six cabins and six heads across three levels. The master suite features a king berth with panoramic hull windows and an en suite head with a large glass-enclosed shower. Three guest cabins each offer a queen berth and private head with separate shower. Two crew cabins aft include their own heads. The galley sits in an up configuration with stone countertops, panoramic windows, and a full Miele appliance package including induction cooktop, microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, and coffee maker. The main salon features top-grain leather upholstery, a high/low convertible dining table, a 55-inch Sony 4K TV, and integrated Sonos and KEF audio. Interiors use natural leather, satin-varnished joinery, light-neutral upholstery, and warm teak flooring throughout.
Deck features include full teak on the side decks, cockpit, and flybridge. A hydraulic swim platform with 1,200 kg capacity houses an electric tender garage with integrated winch. The flybridge carries a full helm station, twin Raymarine displays, wet bar, refrigerator, electric grill, sink, and U-shaped lounge. A hydraulic gangway rated for 200 kg and convertible electric tables complete the outdoor space. The rig consists of a carbon-fiber mast and boom, a fully battened Hydranet mainsail with three reefs, and an electric-furling Hydranet genoa, with additional storm jib and electric-furling gennaker for varied conditions.
Power generation relies on two Kubota-powered 27 kVA generators in separate mechanical rooms, supported by Victron 24V/100A chargers, 5000W and 3000W inverters, and a full Victron battery management system. A 580W monocrystalline solar array integrates into the hardtop. Six Cruisair reverse-cycle air-conditioning units deliver 144,000 BTU total, zoned throughout. An Ecomar Electro watermaker produces 220 L/h. Electronics include a Raymarine GS-Series suite with a 15.4-inch MFD on the flybridge and a 12.1-inch display at the lower helm, dual autopilot heads, Evolution Autopilot with 9-axis gyrocompass, a 4 kW radar, and a FLIR M625CS thermal camera at the bow. A KVH TV6 satellite dome and 4G/LTE Wi-Fi distribution serve all cabins. Additional systems include
