The 2023 Aquila 36 Sport is a fiberglass catamaran powered by twin 400-horsepower Mercury Verado engines with Joystick control. With just 127 hours of running time, the boat combines the stability and shallow-water capability of a wide-beamed catamaran—drawing on twin sponsons and a 14.58-foot beam—with the accommodations and entertaining space of a larger yacht. The enclosed glass cruiser package features sliding doors, a full-height windshield with curtains, and an expansive cockpit with seating for over twenty adults. A topside summer kitchen includes a smokeless grill and refrigeration.
Below deck are two cabins, each with a private en-suite head. The galley features an electric cooktop and connects to the main salon, which has custom wood trim, flooring, cabin air conditioning, and an upgraded 16,000 BTU air conditioning unit for the cockpit. The boat carries substantial navigation electronics: twin 12-inch Raymarine Axiom chartplotters, a Raydome 19-inch color scanner, VHF radio with antenna, and Raymarine AIS 700. A Fischer Panda 5-kilowatt diesel generator provides auxiliary power.
Exterior and convenience features include a stainless steel dinghy davit rated to 350 pounds, a stainless paddleboard rack mounted to the hardtop, electric hatches in the hardtop, removable sunshade systems for forward deck seating, a stainless boarding ladder on the bow, and blue LED underwater and deck lighting. The helm station has a remote spotlight. Premium audio comprises a subwoofer, amplifier, and 6.5-inch speakers throughout.
Recent care included custom Magnashade window coverings, an Electrosea strainer, full detailing, waxing, and a 300-hour service performed in November. Maintenance records are available from MarineMax.
