2023 Bavaria R40 Coupe

The Bavaria R40 Coupe is a 40-foot express cruiser built from fiberglass with twin Volvo Penta D6 diesel engines producing 380 horsepower each. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 36 knots with a cruising speed of 30 knots, and features joystick control for docking. The design emphasizes clean, German-built construction with excellent visibility from the helm, including a large opening hatch above the wheel station and panoramic views throughout.

Below deck, the R40 Coupe offers two cabins and two heads, each with dedicated shower facilities. The full-beam master stateroom and separate VIP cabin both feature ensuite bathrooms. The galley is positioned topside with a two-burner ceramic cooktop, 140-liter refrigerator, and stainless steel sink. The saloon dinette expands from two to four seats, and the cabin layout includes generous locker and shelving storage, carpet in the staterooms, and venetian blinds for privacy and light control.

Exterior accommodations center on a social cockpit with L-shaped seating, a cockpit dinette, and additional storage lockers including a refrigerator. A hydraulic swim platform lowers into the water, and the boat includes a transom shower with hot and cold water. Stainless steel railings, handholds, and mooring cleats run throughout, with flexTeak flooring on the swim platform and cockpit. A deep rode locker provides access to the electric windlass with remote control.

Electronics include dual 12-inch Simrad NSS evo3 multifunction displays with Wi-Fi, Simrad VHF with AIS and wireless handset, autopilot with compass, aft docking camera, and 4G broadband radar. Additional equipment features a Fusion stereo system, Bennett trim tabs, bow thruster with extra battery, search light with remote, and 110V 50-amp shore power.
