The 2023 Bavaria R40 Fly is a 41-foot fiberglass motor yacht built by the German manufacturer Bavaria Yachts. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D6-380 diesel sterndrives with a combined 760 horsepower, the boat reaches a top speed of 36 knots and cruises efficiently at 27 to 33 knots. The V-hull design delivers responsive handling and tight turning performance, while the Z-drives and joystick control system enhance maneuverability and ease of operation. The boat is equipped with a bow thruster, trim tabs, and comprehensive navigational electronics including dual 12-inch Simrad multifunction displays with integrated radar and autopilot.
The interior features two ensuite cabins and two heads. The forward cabin has a scissor island queen bed with walk-around access that can convert to twin singles, along with a separate day head and shower. The midship owners cabin is full-beam with a large island double bed, chase lounge, and ensuite head with separate shower cubicle. The saloon is bright and airy with walnut cabinetry, elm flooring, and ivory artificial leather upholstery. The lower helm station has excellent sightlines with an adjustable electric steering wheel and two large windscreen windows. A linear galley to port includes an electric cooktop, microwave, and substantial counter space. A dinette with foldable leaves serves as additional dining and overnight berth space.
The flybridge offers commanding views with twin helm seats, full engine displays, and a bimini cover. A stainless steel refrigerator drawer and comprehensive electronics are positioned for comfortable operation. Three sliding doors between the cockpit and saloon create a large open area for entertaining. The cockpit features a hydraulic swim platform with dinghy chocks, stern shower, teak table, and removable cushions for deck access. A 50-liter refrigerator is fitted under the flybridge stairs.
A 2022 Yamaha SPARK 3UP 900 HO personal watercraft with 90 horsepower and mounting chocks is included. Additional equipment includes a Kohler 11-kilowatt generator, electric windlass with remote control, mooring kit, and searchlight. The engines have approximately 166 and 169 hours respectively.
