2023 Blackwood 27HD

The 2023 Blackwood 27HD is a fiberglass bay boat powered by twin Mercury 300 V8 engines finished in Warm Fusion paint. The hull and running surface are sealed in pearl gelcoat, and the boat carries factory-installed options including a powdercoated aluminum T-top with integrated light bar and freshwater misters, Lewmar windlass and anchor, and electric steering with a deluxe helm seat. The entertainment system comprises JL Audio components—an 8-channel amplifier, dual 8.8-inch speakers mounted on the T-top, four additional T-top speakers, and two subwoofers.

The boat accommodates fishing and cruising with a large bow area split into five storage compartments, a spacious leaning post with upgraded livewell capacity, an oversized baitwell, and twin swim platforms fitted with retractable ladders. Below deck is a step-in head with porcelain toilet and full vanity, and an underside cooler provides secure storage. Cushioning includes a bow package and fold-down aft seating, while courtesy lights serve all compartments. The onboard systems include an under-seat freshwater holding tank with dedicated washdown, raw water washdown, offset transom with recessed trim tabs, and a 3-bank battery setup with dedicated Minn-Kota charger.

Navigation and sonar electronics are comprehensive: dual 12-inch Simrad NSS Evo3 multifunction displays with 3D imaging, Simrad HALO24 radar with Doppler technology, Simrad RS100-B VHF radio with Class B AIS and GPS, Navico Precision-9 compass, and Navico WM-4 satellite weather receiver. Sensing includes thru-hull Airmar B60 and B175HW transducers, Navico Structure Scan 3D with side-scan and downscan imaging, and a stainless steel thru-hull transducer paired with 3-in-1 active imaging mounted on the transom.

Hull construction incorporates full-length stringers and HPI closed-cell foam with Kevlar laminate coating, meeting the structural demands of bay and offshore running. Additional refinements include ShadowCaster LED underwater lighting, quick-release hose clamps, Deutsch wiring harness connectors, and a battery charger.
