The 2023 Boston Whaler 280 Outrage is a 28-foot center console powered by twin Mercury 350 L6 Verado outboards with 700 horsepower combined. The boat features joystick piloting, Skyhook, fly-by-wire controls, and electronic steering for precise handling. The hull is finished in Abaco Blue with matching Abaco Blue underside, complemented by a hard top with white powder coat, glass enclosure with vent, and a full custom T-Top boat cover.
The open layout includes forward seating and console lounge, helm seats with flip-up bolsters, a leaning post livewell, sliding Yeti cooler, fold-out stern seat, and cushioned seating throughout. Access features include a dive door with removable ladder and transom door with swim ladder. Below deck are two in-deck fishboxes equipped with macerator pumps, a vacuflush head with overboard waste discharge, freshwater sink, and two freshwater showers. An anchor windlass with remote rounds out the deck equipment, along with Lenco trim tabs with indicators.
Electronics comprise twin Simrad 12-inch NSX GPS chartplotters with integrated fishfinders, Mercury Smartcraft digital gauges, and a JL Audio Bluetooth stereo system with amplifier, six speakers, and subwoofer.
The engines have 65 hours of operation and are due for annual service. Four new Interstate Marine batteries were recently installed. The boat has been maintained as a freshwater boat in New Hampshire and has seen saltwater use only a few times.
