The 2023 Contender 44 ST is a 44-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull with a beam of 12 feet. Powered by a single Yamaha 450XT engine with approximately 690 hours, the boat cruises at 46–47 mph and reaches 66–67 mph at wide-open throttle. It carries 600 gallons of fuel and has been regularly maintained by captain and crew.
The boat is equipped with a full suite of Garmin electronics including dual 8624 displays, an 8610 in the tower, and a 6-foot 1224 XHD2 open array radar. A Garmin autopilot, dual Icom M510 VHF radios, and a new Fusion Apollo RA770 radio with Bluetooth comprise the communication package. Audio is handled by a custom JL Audio system with multiple speakers and subwoofers throughout. A Sea Keeper 3 stabilizer and joystick helm control are installed, with duplicate stations for maneuvering.
The fishing layout includes a full gap tower built in-house at Contender, outriggers with 22-foot internal poles, multiple rod holders, and a 110-gallon in-floor livewell plus a 125-gallon optional floor livewell. The pump system features a stainless steel XL pump box with four 3700-gallon-per-hour pumps and a manifold, plus a Hooker electric 4500-gallon-per-hour livewell pump. An extra-large coffin box serves as forward seating, while the console offers custom storage and a microwave. The windshield is polycarbonate with isinglass. The boat may be configured with or without the gap tower and hardtop.
