The 2023 Cutwater C-248 Coupe is a 30-foot fiberglass cruiser built on a contemporary take of Downeast design principles. Powered by a single Yamaha 250 HP outboard, the boat features a double-stepped hull that improves efficiency and fuel economy while enabling quick planing. The hull also incorporates Laminar Flow Interrupter technology for stable, responsive cornering.
The interior balances comfort with functionality. The forward stateroom includes wrap-around seating and a drop-down high-low table that converts into a berth. The main salon holds a dinette for four that folds into a two-person berth, with a mid-berth underneath offering sleeping space or storage. A private aft stateroom, galley, and head with holding tank complete the accommodation layout. The galley is equipped with a sink with hot and cold water, stovetop, microwave, and refrigerator-freezer. An innovative aft bulkhead window opens to transform the dinette seating into a rear-facing cockpit arrangement.
The helm provides 360-degree visibility. Standard equipment includes a Garmin 943xsv GPS chartplotter with integrated sonar, Yamaha engine display, VHF radio, Bluetooth-enabled Fusion stereo with LED lighting throughout, sport racks, built-in rod holders, fish box, integrated transom cooler, concealed ski tow, and foldaway cockpit seating with bolster cushions. Trailer lights are built-in, and the boat is designed for cruising, fishing, and entertaining.
