The 2023 De Antonio Yachts D42 Open is a 42-foot sports cruiser powered by triple Mercury 350 Verado outboards with 272 hours of operation. Her design combines Mediterranean styling with innovative engineering: the triple outboards are concealed beneath an expansive aft sunpad and swim platform, delivering a sleek profile while maintaining the efficiency and serviceability of outboard propulsion. The hull features flush decks, integrated sunpads, full walk-around side decks with high bulwarks, and angular hull windows. A retractable electric sunshade deploys from the hardtop to shade the entire cockpit area, while a motorized roof panel slides open for ventilation or closes for weather protection. The roof structure can be lowered electronically to reduce air draft, allowing passage under low-clearance bridges.
The cockpit serves as the social center, with twin teak dining tables that convert from formal dining to an extended sun lounge. Upholstered seating wraps the aft perimeter. An outdoor galley positioned aft of the helm features a stainless sink, electric cooktop, microwave, and refrigeration drawers, with solid-surface countertops and LED task lighting. The helm station houses a Simrad GO12 XSE multifunction display with integrated engine monitoring and stainless steel controls; visibility is enhanced by wraparound tempered glass.
Below deck, the interior accommodates up to four overnight guests. The forward stateroom has a full-size berth with mirrored cabinetry and designer lighting. The aft cabin offers twin berths convertible to a double, with large hull-side windows. A private head includes an electric toilet, enclosed shower, and contemporary fixtures. Natural light enters through hull windows and overhead skylights. Wood veneers, soft-touch paneling, and refined upholstery are throughout.
The triple Verados achieve mid-40 knot speeds with strong acceleration, and cruise smoothly and quietly in the 30–35 knot range. A Cummins 4kW diesel generator powers air conditioning and onboard systems. Premium JL Audio speakers are positioned throughout the cockpit and bow. Ambient LED lighting runs along the deck and underwater zones.
