The 2023 Dufour 530 Ocean Version is a 53-foot cruising sailyacht built on a fiberglass hull with a Volvo diesel engine producing 110 horsepower. Designed around Dufour's philosophy of combining genuine sailing performance with comfort, the 530 features a racer-derived hull paired with a spacious, safe deck. The boat is outfitted with a shallow-draft keel of 1.95 meters, a shaft-drive system with three-blade folding propeller, and a tunnel bow thruster for maneuvering.
Accommodation includes three cabins and two heads plus a rear pullman berth. The saloon features a 40-inch television on an electric cylinder, wood Venetian blinds, and fabric accents throughout. The galley is equipped with a microwave, Nespresso machine, extra refrigerator, and a separate gas grill and sink on the swim platform. Two electric toilets with freshwater flush serve the heads, and a 60-liter water heater supplies hot water to the cockpit shower and throughout. Sleeping berths have slatted mattress supports, and reversible air conditioning runs on 110V or 220V power.
The deck and cockpit are finished in Flexiteak with twin-zone bimini shade and multiple cushioned seating areas. Electric winches power sail handling, including a self-tacking jib track and manual furling mast without batten. Navigation is supported by an AXIOM 12 PRO GPS display, VHF radio, AIS transponder, and an 18-inch Quantum radar. A 7.5-kilowatt Cummins generator with sound shield provides power, and a Seawater Pro watermaker produces 17 gallons per hour. Additional equipment includes retractable davits, a Plastimo eight-person life raft, and lifeline netting. Hull preparation with black antifouling is scheduled for May 2025.
