2023 Dusky 278 XFT

The 2023 Dusky 278 XFT is a center console fishing boat built for durability and performance. Powered by twin Suzuki DF250ATX outboards with 200 hours, it reaches a top speed of 58 mph and cruises comfortably at 35 mph. The hull is constructed entirely without wood—stringers and transom are composite materials, with resin-poured transom and approximately 1.75 inches of fiberglass layup across the bottom. The boat measures 28 feet in length with an 8.6-foot beam.

The deck is clean and functional, designed for serious fishing. A custom-built 680-quart Icey-Tek cooler serves as both a sunpad and storage for live bait and provisions, featuring a three-inch cushion and stainless steel gas shocks. The stern bracket is fitted with nonskid surface for safe footing when fighting fish or managing lines. Fuel efficiency runs between 1.8 and 2.1 miles per gallon depending on load and conditions.
