The 2023 Fountain 38 Tournament Edition is a 38-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull and powered by triple Mercury Racing 450R Verado outboards with high-definition gearcases, delivering 1,350 horsepower total. The boat features joystick control and hydraulic trim tabs for responsive handling, along with a bow thruster for maneuvering in tight quarters.

The cockpit is laid out for serious fishing and entertaining. Twin electric reel outlets forward and amidship, plus two aft, work with 18-foot collapsible hybrid outrigger poles mounted on Gemlux bases. A 110-quart tackle center cooler sits on rolling slides for easy access. The transom includes a dive door with integrated ladder, and a comfortable upholstered seat with removable bottom and backrest. Forward seating accommodates additional passengers, and an enclosed head with ceramic toilet, fresh and raw water holding tanks, and overboard discharge provide onboard facilities. Two pressurized livewells, fresh and raw water washdowns, and a transom shower complete the practical layout.

Electronics are comprehensive: dual Garmin GPSmap 8616 16-inch multi-function displays, a Garmin 254W open array radar, Garmin hydraulic autopilot with dash-mounted controller, AIS 315 VHC radio, Mercury VesselView 903 engine display, and an additional Airmar B175H transducer. Navigation and engine monitoring integrate seamlessly across the helm. A premium JL Audio system with six 7.7-inch LED speakers, two 10-inch LED subwoofers, and dual amplifiers provides entertainment, with XM weather and radio capability ready to activate.

Standard equipment includes Shadow-Caster RGB underwater lighting, a through-hull anchor windlass with rode kit, polished stainless plow anchor, 150 feet of braided rope, and 15 feet of galvanized chain. The boat carries a black engine package, Reverso automatic flushing system, black vinyl rubrail insert, quick-release fender attachments, and windshield wipers.
