2023 Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 Catamaran

This 2023 Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and ocean crossings. At 44 feet long with a 25-foot beam, the twin-hulled design delivers the stability and interior volume characteristic of the model. Power comes from a single 60 hp Volvo diesel engine, capable of 8-knot cruising speeds, complemented by a generator for extended offshore passages.

The yacht accommodates three cabins and three heads across a layout designed for comfort and functionality. The owner specified Fountaine Pajot's full Comfort package and commissioned extensive professional upgrades during a three-month refit in La Rochelle. Key systems include a high-capacity 180-liter-per-hour watermaker, six-zone variable-speed air conditioning with heating capability, and a dishwasher. Interior finishes feature Flexiteek flooring throughout the main areas and custom upholstery at key seating positions. A custom hardtop bimini provides permanent weather protection, supplemented by removable summer and winter enclosures from Voilerie Klein.

Rigging and sail handling were upgraded specifically for ocean work. The mainsail uses offshore-grade cloth in a custom tri-radial cut with single-line reef controls for the second and third reefs. Two electric winches with foot switches enhance deck operations, supported by all running lines led to the helm station. Additional features include underwater lights, a custom gennaker in a sock system, and a rudder brake for motorsailing control.

Anchoring and tender systems reflect cruising preparedness. Ground tackle consists of a 45 kg stainless anchor, stainless swivel, 100 meters of 12 mm stainless chain, and an upgraded 1700W electric windlass. A carbon AST dinghy with a 15 hp electric-start outboard and hydraulic davit system completes the setup for comfortable anchorages.
