The 2023 Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 is a modern cruising catamaran built around spacious, light-filled interiors and extensive deck areas. This five-cabin design combines comfortable accommodations below with generous outdoor spaces topside, where a protected helm station, cockpit lounge with cushioning, and foredeck sun pads support extended time on the water. A hydraulic platform with 200 kg capacity deploys easily, and the boat includes a Highfield 380 tender with 30HP Tohatsu outboard. Deck amenities include a fridge, icemaker, gas barbecue, and hot water shower.
Twin Volvo diesel engines—each 75 hp with four-blade folding props—drive the hull, supported by a full complement of sail handling systems: PROFURL genoa furler, automatic mainsail hook, lazy jack and lazy bag, and electric winches for both mainsail and genoa. A CST full-batten mainsail and double-clutch reef system complete the rig. Navigation relies on a GARMIN 2 Smart Cruising Pack with dual 8410 displays, autopilot, AIS, dual VHF/AIS stations, radar, and GPS; a Fusion Bluetooth audio system provides entertainment.
Interior accommodations span five cabins served by four freshwater electric heads and a pressurized seawater system. Climate control includes air conditioning, while the galley contains two refrigerated drawers and an optional 90L freezer. Power comes from a 2000W inverter/charger plus a 13.5 KW Onan genset, with 1700W integrated solar panels and Victron MPPT controllers supporting longer autonomy. An electric windlass, galvanic isolator, and upgraded factory AC strainers add operational reliability.
Protection includes International InterProtect primer, SEHAWK antifouling, and International Trilux coatings applied to saildrives and propellers. Protective strips are fitted to both transoms.
