The 2023 Grand Soleil LC42 is a composite sailing yacht launched in July 2023 with minimal use—just two short cruises totaling roughly two weeks. Designed by Lotuzzi & Nauta Design, the boat measures 12.95 meters overall with a 4.18-meter beam and draws 2.25 meters. It is powered by a Volvo Penta 60 HP Saildrive engine paired with a Flexofold three-blade folding propeller, and equipped with a Fischer Panda 5000i NEO generator, air conditioning, Webasto heating, and an Osmosea 12V watermaker producing 65 liters per hour.
The layout consists of two spacious double cabins plus a convertible saloon with an electrically operated table, accommodating six people overall. A dedicated VIP aft cabin contains twin berths and additional storage. The galley is enlarged with a 200-liter double-door refrigerator, three-burner cooktop, and microwave. Two heads with electric TECMA toilets serve the accommodation spaces. Fuel capacity is approximately 170 liters; freshwater capacity is 300 liters. A 1500-watt inverter and upgraded battery system support onboard power.
Deck features include full teak construction with vacuum-bonded treatment on the main deck and cockpit. Carbon components extend to the bowsprit, arch, and gangway. The retractable bow thruster aids maneuvering. Harken 50.2 electric primary winches, furling mainsail on a taller mast, rod rigging with hydraulic backstay, and upgraded blocks support sailing operations. A 16-kilogram ultra stainless steel anchor with 75 meters of chain and electric windlass with chain counter complete the ground tackle.
Navigation and entertainment systems include B&G Triton-2 display, Zeus3 nine-inch plotter, Halo20+ radar, autopilot with rotary drive, AIS Class B transponder, and B&G V50 VHF with wireless handset. A 30-inch LCD television, full LED ambient and courtesy lighting throughout, and bimini with sprayhood and cushions round out the fit. Safety equipment for six people and a life raft are aboard. Additional items include fenders, mooring lines, stern platform with remote control, and outboard engine bracket.
