The 2023 Leopard 40 Powercat is a modern catamaran designed by Alexander Simonis of Simonis Voogd Design. Built from fiberglass, this 40-foot yacht features a beam of nearly 22 feet and is powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines totaling 740 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 17 knots and a top speed exceeding 22 knots. The design emphasizes open, light-filled spaces with 360-degree visibility throughout the interior and a notably spacious flybridge—the largest ever fitted to a 40-foot powercat.
The accommodation plan includes three cabins, each with island berths, and two heads with separate showers. The galley is L-shaped and fully equipped for extended cruising. Multiple outdoor areas provide flexibility, including an aft cockpit, flybridge, aft decks, and sunbathing spaces suited to both entertaining and relaxation.
This particular boat is equipped with a bow thruster, upgraded engine management displays, a 6-kilowatt Northern Lights generator, air conditioning, four 400-watt solar panels, and underwater lighting. Navigation gear includes radar, while a Highfield Classic 340 tender with console and 15-horsepower engine is included. The boat also features a 220-volt water maker, expanded battery banks, and comes with an extensive complement of tools, spare parts, galley equipment, and furnishings.
The engine rooms are positioned for easy outside access, and the yacht comes fully provisioned for immediate use.
