2023 McConaghy MC82

The MC82 is a 78-foot luxury catamaran built with an e-glass and epoxy composite hull reinforced by carbon fiber structural elements. Twin John Deere diesel engines, each producing 300 horsepower, deliver a cruising speed of 9 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots. The 8,000-liter fuel capacity provides a range of 2,000 nautical miles. The 33-foot beam creates generous interior volume and accommodates four double guest cabins plus two crew cabins—one double and one single—each with en-suite bathrooms featuring large showers, Corian flooring, and quality fixtures.

The main deck centers on a sprawling saloon with an open-plan galley, dining area, and tempered glass doors leading to a spacious aft deck with sofas and al fresco dining. A forward-facing exterior lounge and day bed provide additional outdoor relaxation. The galley features Miele induction cooking, dual ovens, twin refrigerators with freezer drawers, wine cooler, and extensive Corian countertops with stainless steel sinks. A bar area with ice maker, drawer fridge, and bottle storage serves both the saloon and aft deck.

The flybridge is covered by a hard bimini mounting 7.2 kilowatts of solar panels and includes an informal dining table seating ten, L-shaped settee, sun loungers, and a second bar with twin sinks, ice maker, and dishwasher. Exterior spaces feature synthetic teak decking throughout, underwater lighting, wireless speakers, and a hydraulic aft platform carrying a 16-foot tender that converts to an extended swim platform.

Systems include twelve lithium-ion 180-amp-hour batteries paired with dual 4,000-watt Victron inverter-chargers, twin water makers producing 400 liters per hour, a 27-kilowatt generator, 228,000 BTU air conditioning across twelve zones, and comprehensive Garmin navigation and radar equipment. Additional features include Starlink HD marine communications, dual bow thrusters, searchlight, docking and engine room cameras, and a comprehensive safety package.
