The 2023 Northstar Axis 3.8 is a 12-foot fiberglass inflatable tender built for reliability and comfort. Its Delta Lift hull design features Delta tabs that plane quickly and deliver a stable, dry ride across the water. The boat accommodates a single 50 hp Mercury gasoline engine, though 40 hp is the recommended rating. Three independent air chambers provide flotation, with a tube diameter of 16.5 inches and suggested pressure of 2.6 psi.

Standard equipment includes an ergonomic helm console with electrical switch panel, LED navigation lights, an all-around white light, and automatic bilge pump. The boat has hydraulic steering, a self-bailing deck, and a replaceable transom that accepts both short and long shaft engines. Additional features include an acrylic glove box with USB charging port, main cutoff switch, and marine upholstery across the helm bench seat, port-side console seat, and bow seat.

The tubes are constructed from Hypalon and available in white, light grey, dark grey, or black. The hull comes in white, grey, or black. Upholstery options include champagne, sahara yellow, mandarin, and shark grey colorways.
