The 2023 Ranger Tugs R-29 S is a 29-foot fiberglass cruiser built for comfort and range. Powered by a Volvo Penta D4 diesel engine delivering 320 horsepower, it reaches a top speed of approximately 27 knots and cruises efficiently at 18 knots. The semi-planing hull is designed to handle like a much larger boat while remaining trailerable thanks to its 10-foot beam. Bow and stern thrusters, electric trim tabs, and autopilot make handling straightforward in tight quarters and on longer passages.
Below deck, the layout accommodates six people across three sleeping areas: a forward island berth, a private mid-cabin, and a convertible dinette. The single head serves the accommodations. The galley features a propane stove and oven, microwave, dual refrigerator-freezers, and a deep stainless sink with ample storage. Heating and cooling are provided by a diesel heater and electric heat/AC system.
Navigation and electronics include dual 12-inch Garmin multifunction displays with GPS, sonar, and radar, plus a dedicated Garmin xHD radar. AIS receiving, autopilot, and digital engine and fuel-consumption monitoring are integrated throughout. Entertainment systems include satellite TV and a Fusion stereo with multi-zone surround sound; additional 12-volt televisions are mounted in the salon and forward cabin.
The boat is equipped with a 140-watt solar panel, inverter/charger system, and shore power with galvanic protection. Anchoring comprises a Lewmar windlass with chain and line. A 2023 Highfield RIB tender with aluminum hull and Yamaha 6HP four-stroke outboard is included.
