The 2023 Ranger Tugs R-31 Command Bridge is a 35-foot pilothouse cruiser built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single 320-horsepower Volvo diesel engine. The boat features a retractable command bridge with full electronic control stations at both upper and lower helms, enabling extended coastal cruising while remaining trailerable. Bow and stern thrusters with wireless remote control assist with docking and close-quarters handling.
The layout comprises two staterooms: a forward island berth with ensuite head and a midship cabin with day head. The galley includes a propane stove and oven with broiler, double sinks, refrigerator-freezer, microwave, and ample storage. The command bridge seats six with a dining table, while the main deck cockpit features innovative expanding gunwale seating that folds flush when not in use, plus a teak table. The foredeck incorporates adjustable seating and a table that raises or lowers for anchoring or entertaining.
Electronics include Garmin chartplotters at both helm stations—an 8616xsv at the lower helm and an 8612 at the command bridge—with xHD radar, sonar, AIS receiver, and autopilot with remote. Dual helm stations allow navigation and engine control from either location. Climate control comprises air conditioning with reverse-cycle heating and a diesel generator with sound shield. Standard equipment includes a full galley, cabin heating, and a starboard side door from the lower helm providing direct access to the side decks.
The boat has accumulated approximately 1,000 hours of operation during extended coastal cruising at efficient trawler speeds and shows consistent maintenance records. A RIB tender with electric outboard is included.
