The 2023 Ranger Tugs R-31 S is a 34-foot fiberglass trawler built for extended cruising while remaining trailerable. Powered by a single Volvo D4 diesel engine producing 320 horsepower, the boat combines efficiency with capable performance. The hull measures 10 feet across the beam with a 30-inch draft, and the boat weighs 12,000 pounds dry.
The interior divides into two staterooms: a forward island berth with ensuite head, and a midship berth served by a day head. The galley and helm station occupy the centerline, with a starboard side door providing direct access from the helm to the side decks. The foredeck features movable seating and a table that adjusts between underway and anchored positions. The cockpit wraps around with fold-out seats that stow into the gunwales when not in use, and a full canvas enclosure protects the aft area.
Equipment includes bow and stern thrusters with wireless remote control, a Garmin 8616xsv chartplotter with sonar and xHD radar, Garmin autopilot with remote, diesel generator with sound shield, 220-watt solar panel, air conditioning with reverse-cycle heat, and AIS receiving. Teak and holly EVA decking covers the exterior surfaces. Underwater lights, a propane stove with two tanks, and a macerator round out the standard fit. The fuel capacity is 180 gallons, with 60 gallons of water and 40 gallons of waste capacity. Bottom paint was applied in November 2025 and the engine was serviced in January 2026. Starlink WiFi connectivity and an aft steering station with electronic controls are also fitted. The boat comes with a Volvo five-year extended warranty.
