The 2023 Ranger Z520R is a 20.92-foot bay boat built on an evolved Z Comanche hull design, powered by a single 250 hp Mercury Marine engine. The hull is engineered for quick hole shots and strong top-end performance, combining the scanned and refined geometry of Ranger's legacy C hull with modern refinements throughout the structure.

The cockpit centers on an all-new console with touchscreen Ranger RIDE system, offering dual graph capability or a single 16-inch display for complete control over boat and engine functions. The helm and passenger seating ride on slides paired with CloudNine air ride shock absorption to reduce impact from choppy water. Entry is simplified with a key fob and push-button ignition system. Storage compartments are substantially enlarged through a redesigned stringer system using One-Piece Feel Interloc construction, and rod boxes incorporate a tri-level shelf arrangement to hold rods up to 9 feet with better organization.

Standard conveniences include wireless phone charging in the console coin box and lithium batteries in the battery box. Deck and storage layouts have been reconfigured throughout to match the enhanced performance capability of the R Series package.
