The 2023 Sea Ray SLX 400 is a 40-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin MerCruiser 8.2L MAG High Output engines producing 430 horsepower each. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 48 knots and cruises comfortably at 30 knots, with a range of 290 nautical miles. Its modified 21-degree deadrise V-hull design delivers a smooth, stable ride across varied water conditions. The boat weighs approximately 20,000 pounds and carries a 12-foot beam.

The SLX 400 accommodates two cabins and one head, with seating for up to 20 guests throughout the interior and exterior spaces. The layout prioritizes entertaining, featuring an expansive bow seating area, a swim platform with hydraulic submersible swim step, and a fold-out starboard patio terrace that extends the boat's effective width by three feet. Additional amenities include teak decks, an automatic sunshade system, and transom shower.

Navigation and control are handled by twin 16-inch Simrad screens, SmartCraft Digital Throttle & Shift with joystick control and Skyhook GPS anchor functionality.
