The 2023 Sportsman Open 242 is a 24-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull with a single Yamaha 300-hp engine. The boat features a hard-top with integrated frame, full-size console with inner liner, and a self-bailing cockpit. The engine has logged only 90 hours. A matching 2023 trailer is included.
The layout combines serious fishing capability with entertainment versatility. The console houses a 12-gallon cooler seat and houses a Garmin GPSMAP 1242xsv touch multifunction display, Garmin VHF radio, and Garmin Apollo stereo. A 25-gallon rear livewell with high-speed pickup serves the fishing mission, while a 13-gallon freshwater tank with washdown and raw water washdown are standard. Storage includes insulated bow locker, under-gunwale rod racks, and tackle storage beneath the deluxe leaning post.
Seating spans bow and stern. The bow includes removable cushion sets with bolsters, a removable backrest, and a filler board. The helm features a deluxe leaning post with flip-up bolsters and helm pad. A rear fold-down seat with access and removable bow table complete the arrangement. Eight JL Audio speakers and multiple USB and 12V charging ports are distributed throughout.
The hull employs an advanced fiberglass stringer system without wood and carries a 10-year warranty. Stainless steel hardware includes steering wheel, propeller, rub rail, and cleats. Trim tabs with LED indicator, a built-in swim platform with 3-step ladder, and a porta-potti are fitted. The boat comes with a custom cover, new batteries, and dual battery configuration.
